About the Collection

The following images have been collected from various sources over a span of about 25 years.  All of the these images are digital scans from mostly 8X10 photographs gathered from a variety of sources.  Many were purchased from Warren Wing, the noted northwest photographer and collector.   While the pictures purchased from Warren include dates and locations, the actual photographer was not usually credited.  Stan Espeseth, of Issaquah Washington, has graciously allowed me to scan many photographs from his collection.  Stan's collection includes his own photographs along with those from William Larkins and possibly a few from Warren Hastings.  Credit is given where the photographer is known.  Finally some negatives and photographs were purchased off ebay or at swap meets with little or no documentation.  Additional insight or corrections are always welcome.  My collection consists of about 300 different Sacramento Northern photographs.  What follows is a small representation of my collection.  I have started with the freight motors but scanning and cataloging the photographs takes time.  Over the next month or two (May/June 2008) I should be able to get a pretty good representation of my collection posted.  Clicking on the small image will direct your to another page with additional information and larger pictures.  Steve Depolo, Woodinville, WA - sdepolo@theinsidegateway.com
